Earlier this evening, there was a fire in Magic Kingdom that required a response unlike anything we’ve ever seen before at the park. According to Disney, “there was a small fire in Magic Kingdom. The fire was quickly extinguished by fire extinguishers. No one was hurt”.
The statement followed social media posts showing fire trucks rolling down Main Street USA towards Cinderella Castle. Guests reported smoke billowing from near Cinderella Castle. An updated statement shared with Scott Gustin indicates that an area near Cinderella Castle caught fire.

Cast Members kept Main Street USA clear after the incident, even though it wasn’t utilized by any additional emergency vehicles.
Emergency vehicles were staged on the bridge to Liberty Square.
After the incident was over, the emergency vehicles continued through Frontierland and the parade route that exits near Splash Mountain. In total, there was one fire engine and two ambulances called to the scene.
