Disney has updated their internal calendars to reflect an extension of the Blizzard Beach refurbishment. Previously, the calendars only showed a refurbishment through mid-March. Now, the refurbishment has been extended indefinitely, going as far out as the calendar currently shows (May 6th).
Disney has not announced an end date for the Blizzard Beach refurbishment, but the water park is in need of work after it carried the Disney World water park needs following the COVID-19 shutdowns.
Earlier this year, Typhoon Lagoon reopened following an extended refurbishment. It is expected that Blizzard Beach will be open this summer, but it is unknown when, exactly, it will reopen.
