Earlier today, we brought you the news that the Figment Popcorn Bucket was back in stock at EPCOT. When it debuted in January, the popcorn bucket made national headlines as guests lined up for 5-hour waits just to purchase the bucket. Within days, Disney’s entire first wave of stock had sold out. The popcorn bucket was a favorite of Disney eBay resellers, with one popcorn bucket topping out at over $1,000!

Now, the next wave of Figment Popcorn Buckets has arrived at EPCOT and Disney is looking to streamline the process of buying one. For the first time, Disney implemented a Mobile Order-style sale of a merchandise item through the My Disney Experience app. In doing so, Disney is able to manage demand and the line that forms for guests still looking to get their hands on the coveted popcorn bucket. Guests are instructed to complete their purchase in the My Disney Experience app and return to the World Showplace Pavilion between Canada and the United Kingdom to pick up their popcorn bucket. We made it out to EPCOT this morning to take a look at the new process.

First things first, we had to order the Figment Popcorn Bucket through the My Disney Experience app. This follows the normal Mobile Order flow.

We then made our way out to EPCOT to pick up our Figment Popcorn Bucket! Here’s a look at the process in the World Showplace Pavilion between Canada and the United Kingdom.
