It’s been a crazy opening few days at the 2022 EPCOT Festival of the Arts thanks to one imaginary dragon. National media picked up on the Figment Popcorn Bucket craze that we saw taking shape on the ground in EPCOT last Friday.
Now, with the popcorn bucket sold out after thousands of guests were able to buy one in the opening days of the festival, it looks like the resale market for the buckets has “cooled off”. Here’s a look at the top prices on eBay, including one sale that was over $1,000 for the plastic popcorn bucket.
Most recent sales on eBay have gone for $80-$140, a decline from the max prices we saw this past weekend, but still a significant increase over the $25 price tag that Disney put on the popcorn bucket.
Reportedly, some Annual Passholders have already been reprimanded for reselling the popcorn bucket after using their Annual Pass discount – a breach of the Terms and Conditions of the Annual Pass.

I would love to see Disney get a couple million more of these buckets to sell again. It would really make all the buyers from the secondary Market feel like a bunch of losers. No one really said they were limited to any number. They could be restocked and sold again. If Disney was smart they would realize that they could make a million dollars off of these bucket alone selling them at $25 each. Watch out for the chestershire cat popcorn bucket. People should be lining up from the state of Texas for that one. Haha!
