Splash Mountain Reopens Following Another Log Sinking Incident at Magic Kingdom

Late last night, a log sank with guests still on board at Splash Mountain. This is the third such recorded incident since August 2020. The incident last night was perhaps the worst sinking so far as the trailing log appeared to strike a guest on board the sinking log. Disney has not issued a statement about the incident and has reopened Splash Mountain this morning with no noticeable changes.

Splash Mountain will eventually close for good, replaced with a Princess and the Frog attraction called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
