Guests looking to save the galaxy today will have to do so without an impressive pre-show room after it broke down earlier today. The teleportation room, which features the “wow” moment for the pre-show experience for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, is dark today and Cast Members are indicating that it is expected to be broken for the remainder of the day.
Typically, this pre-show being broken would result in downtime for the attraction, but a fix was not immediately available and management reportedly made a decision to break the storytelling of the attraction in order to keep the ride open. We’ve seen this happen at Rise of the Resistance as well where pre-show storytelling is also vital to explain the storyline of the attraction.
