Earlier this month, Disney’s Animal Kingdom stopped showing the Tree of Life Awakenings. The park doesn’t stay open late enough at night to host nighttime entertainment and Disney World seems unwilling to invest in Animal Kingdom at night right now. To that end, the 50th Anniversary Beacon of Magic projection show on the Tree of Life has also concluded and Disney rolled out a new park map to reflect the changes. The new map drops the 50th anniversary theming and mentions a few weeks before the celebration officially concludes.

The map was last updated in November 2022 before this month’s update. Here’s a before/current of the map, along with the notable changes:

• A new section titled “Personalized Guest Service” relays much of the same information as before, but does note that guests should speak with a Guest Experience Team or Guest Relations Cast Member for issues with the Disney Genie service.
• Smaller advertisements for Disney Vacation Club and Disney Visa
• Updated map cover photo with a generic photo of the Tree of Life
• Removed references to 50th Anniversary offerings such as the Beacon of Magic and Fab 50 character statues
• Larger presence for the My Disney Experience app
• “Alive with Magic” tagline added

Here’s a look at the map, which is largely the same as the offerings haven’t changed substantially throughout the park. Changes include:

• Updated compass
• Removed 50th Anniversary theming, including for land names
• Removed reference to Beacons of Magic
• Character Flotillas more prominently labeled
• New label for The World’s Largest Pin Truck
