The walkways are getting wider by the day, even if only by a few feet at a time. While visiting EPCOT earlier today, we noticed that even more construction walls have been pushed back in the World Celebration neighborhood.
A few days ago, we got a first look at the World Celebration flooring design when Disney pushed back a segment of construction walls near Creations Shop – EPCOT’s main gift shop in the heart of the park. Now, crews have pushed back walls all the way back to the breezeway and toward Connections Cafe (EPCOT’s Starbucks).
Here are some photos from our visit earlier today, showing the custom metalwork flooring that acts as protective grating for the allee of trees that follow the curvature of the nearby buildings. Essentially, anything with the new flooring and trees was behind construction walls until recently.
There is a break in the custom flooring where the breezeway will connect to the center of World Celebration and the new Festival Gardens.
World Celebration is set to open later this year, sometime in December.
