Award-Winning Drone Company Behind Stunning Disneyland Paris Displays Opens Office in Orlando to Expand Theme Park Footprint

Dronisos, the award-winning drone company that is responsible for the stunning Disneyland Paris drone shows, has opened an office in Orlando, Florida as the company looks to expand its theme park operations.

Created in 2016, Dronisos has been based out of Bordeaux, France, until recently. In a December 1st announcement, the company said that it would be expanding its operations to Orlando and Dubai as part of a strategy to expand its theme park footprint. The company is calling the expansion a “multi-local” approach. Dronisos is establishing the offices to ensure a quick response time to clients. Dronisos says that the offices are more than just commercial offices. The expansions will involve creating local hubs equipped with drone fleets, operational teams, and experts versed in the legal and administrative intricacies of each territory.

Dronisos develops and owns its own software and technologies to ensure shows are not just visually stunning but also increasingly precise, reliable, and secure.

The Orlando office is the first U.S. office for Dronisos. With an airbase near Orlando, the company can conduct tests and demonstrations, inviting both existing and potential clients. A longstanding member of IAAPA, Dronisos actively participates in industry events, including the IAAPA Expo in Orlando, and engages in numerous local events.

CEO Laurent Perchais relocated to Orlando in 2023. Accompanied by a local team, he serves as the ambassador for Dronisos in North America while actively contributing to the French office.

In terms of potential clients for Dronisos in Orlando, we expect to see a nighttime drone show at the Universal Orlando Resort before we see one at Walt Disney World. Disney reportedly turned down drones for the new Luminous nighttime spectacular at EPCOT.

Drone shows are typically only a fraction of the cost of fireworks shows, according to Dronisos, with fully choreographed and customized shows coming in under $100,000 for a 12-14 minute show.

Dronisos boasts more than 1,000 performances at Disneyland Paris, for a combined catalog of more than 20,000 flight hours. While drone shows are common for the Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris, perhaps the most stunning display came earlier this year when the company worked with Disneyland Paris’ entertainment department to craft a Bastille Day show, which utilized nearly 1,500 drones as it recreated iconic Paris landmarks in the sky above the theme park.
