Walt Disney World has announced the end date for the 2024 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, and it’s ending more than a month earlier than it has in recent years. According to Disney World, the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will run February 28 to May 27, 2024.

In the post-COVID Disney World era, we saw the Flower & Garden Festival run March 3rd through July 5th in 2021, March 2nd through July 4th in 2022, and March 1st to July 5th in 2023. While the Festival is starting earlier than normal this year, it’s not early enough to account for more than a month earlier end date. To find a timeframe similar to 2024, we’d have to go back to 2018 when the Festival ran from February 28th to May 28th.

So, a change this drastic has to beg the question: Is Disney World preparing to announce a new EPCOT Summer Festival or just taking some time off from the nearly year-round Festival lineup? EPCOT is noticeably slower during non-Festival times, and we can’t imagine that Disney wants the park to be slow, so we’re keeping a close eye out for the possibility of a new Summer Festival at EPCOT.

It should be noted that this is purely speculation at this time, and Disney World has not announced anything official.
