Star Tours Returns to Randomized Sequences at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Back in early April, a new scene debuted at Star Tours. The new scene featured purrgils, or space whales, along with some of the newer characters from the Star Tours franchise such as The Mandalorian (and Grogu), Ahsoka, and Andor. Just like recent debuts of new scenes in the past, all Star Tours flights were locked into the new scene. So while the three-scene attraction would have a randomized opening and randomized closing, the middle scene was locked to ensure that guests would be able to experience the new scene.

Over time, Disney World will eventually go back to completely randomized sequences for the entire flight, but they never announce when the switch back to randomization will be. According to journalist Brooke Geiger McDonald, Disney World has gone back to fully randomized flight experiences for Star Tours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
