As temperatures continue to drop, less guests will be looking to ride water rides at Walt Disney World, making it the ideal time to close one water ride where you’re all but guaranteed to be soaked. According to the Walt Disney World website, Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be closed for refurbishment starting January 6th. The attraction will reopen sometime in March.

In 2024, Kali River Rapids was closed from January 8 to March 15.
Kali River Rapids is the you-will-get-wet attraction at Walt Disney World, hurling guests along a white water rapids-style attraction. The ride is located in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom, and it features a message opposing deforestation.
