Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift Roller Coaster Ride Vehicles

Universal Studios Hollywood is in the middle of a test-and-adjustment phase for the new roller coaster. Universal has kept the cars under wraps during the early testing phases, but they revealed the cars and designs earlier today!

Four iconic designs, one furious ride. The Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift vehicles have been unveiled at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Hit the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift track in one of three new ride vehicles joining the Dodge Charger to complete the lineup: The Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R, and Toyota Supra.

Electric Disney World ride vehicle with illuminated seats and vibrant lighting.
Bright orange race car with blue seats and flame decals for kids.

This innovative roller coaster will be located on the Upper Lot of Universal Studios Hollywood within an expansive red brick, garage-like structure. It will feature groundbreaking 360-degree rotation technology designed to create a seamless sensation of drifting cars as guests spin in motion at speeds up to 72 MPH, while careening along 4,100 feet of elaborate aerial track—the equivalent of nearly 12 football fields—that winds its way over sections of the theme park, including the multi-level Starway escalator that connects the Upper and Lower Lots.

For the Universal Studios Florida version, the attraction replaces the former Rip Ride Rockit attraction, and is currently under construction. Similar to the version in Hollywood, riders will experience the exhilarating sensation of 360-degree drifting as they speed through jaw-dropping maneuvers. Unique to Florida will be a 170-foot vertical “spike” that will send riders nearly 17 stories in the air over the outskirts of Universal CityWalk.
