Imagineering: Horizons – Largest Imagineering Pavilion Ever at 2026 D23 Expo

IN THIS ARTICLE:

  • Imagineering: Horizons is the largest pavilion Imagineering has ever had for D23.
  • The pavilion arrives amid a period of major growth for Disney Parks worldwide.

Imagineering: Horizons will give fans a chance to explore the people, process, and possibilities, as Imagineers continue to bring new experiences to life. Guests will get a close look at how Imagineering approaches projects shaping parks globally. This continues a pattern set by 2024’s Imagineering: Behind the Dreams. The earlier pavilion promised design models, interactive demos, and live prototypes from Imagineering’s artists, engineers, and craftspeople.

Disney has not yet detailed specific projects, models, or interactive elements for the Imagineering Pavilion. What the company has confirmed is scale, both for the pavilion and for the surrounding event. Disney describes the Imagineering Pavilion as the largest in D23 Expo’s history.

How Horizons Connects to the Parks Panel

Imagineering’s presence at D23 this year goes beyond the show floor pavilion. As we reported when Neil Patrick Harris was announced to host the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase, the parks panel shares its Horizons name with the new pavilion. That showcase presentation will be held August 15th at the Honda Center. Harris will lead conversations with the Imagineers, storytellers, artists, and innovators behind Disney’s theme parks and experiences. Disney says the panel format draws inspiration from Carousel of Progress, with Harris guiding the show rather than delivering a traditional keynote.

The shared branding points to a coordinated Imagineering presence this year. Fans get the up-close pavilion experience at the Anaheim Convention Center. They also get the marquee stage presentation at the Honda Center. Disney has said the Horizons showcase will include behind-the-scenes looks, performances, and new announcements. The company says those build on projects it first revealed at the 2024 D23 Expo.
