UPDATE: Rose & Crown Dining Room and Pub to Close for Lengthy Refurbishment at EPCOT

Disney says Rose & Crown Dining Room and Pub will close for planned maintenance starting January 11th, 2027. Both locations should reopen later in 2027, Disney says. The closure starts five weeks earlier than the February 15th date Disney gave at first, adds the Pub, and stretches the timeline from early spring to later in the year. Here’s the latest.

Rose & Crown Dining Room and Pub Closing January 2027 at EPCOT

IN THIS ARTICLE:

  • The new January 11th, 2027 closing date for both Rose & Crown locations.
  • How the timeline and scope differ from Disney’s first closure plan.
  • What guests can still enjoy at Rose & Crown before the closure begins.

EPCOT’s United Kingdom pavilion is heading into a longer refurbishment period at two of its most familiar stops. Disney says both the Rose and Crown Dining Room and Pub locations “will be temporarily closed for planned maintenance” beginning in January. The first plan was for the Dining Room closure to cover only the table service restaurant, which has anchored the pavilion since EPCOT Center opened in 1982.

How the Closure Changed

Disney’s first closure date was February 15th, and it applied only to the Dining Room. At that point, Disney had Rose & Crown Pub and Yorkshire County Fish Shop staying open, with the Dining Room reopening in early spring. The updated date is five weeks sooner, adds the Pub, and pushes the reopening to later in 2027.

Disney hasn’t said what the maintenance involves or given a specific reopening date. The longer timeline and the addition of the Pub suggest a bigger project than the first plan described, which could mean a more significant refresh for one of World Showcase’s longtime favorites.

Disney’s updated language names only the Dining Room and the Pub. Yorkshire County Fish Shop, the pavilion’s counter service spot for battered fish and chips, isn’t mentioned. Disney’s first update had it staying open, so we assume that’s still the plan.

What Is Still Open Before January 11th

Because the closure starts January 11th, both Rose & Crown locations should be open through January 10th. That leaves just under three months to get in a visit.

  • Rose & Crown Dining Room: Disney lists dinner from 4:00pm to 9:00pm, with seating inside or on the patio overlooking World Showcase Lagoon. Fish and chips, bangers and mash, and sticky toffee pudding are among the dishes Disney highlights.
  • Rose & Crown Pub: Disney lists hours of 10:30am to 9:00pm, with a large selection of British beers, ciders, scotches, and signature cocktails.
