Thanksgiving Week Pushes Premier Pass to New All-Time Record High Prices

Lightning Lane Premier Pass has reached new all-time high prices at all four Walt Disney World theme parks. The records fall on November 23rd, the start of Thanksgiving week. Magic Kingdom leads the way, as it always has, with the highest skip-the-line price Walt Disney World has ever charged. Here’s the latest.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass Reaches Record High Prices for Thanksgiving Week

  • How the new prices compare to the higher ceilings announced in October

Premier Pass is Walt Disney World’s top-tier way to skip the line, and Thanksgiving week now holds its most expensive day yet. When we looked in the My Disney Experience app this morning, Premier Pass prices for November 23rd had just appeared for all four parks. Every one of them set a new record.

Premier Pass Prices for November 23rd

Premier Pass gives one-time entry to each Lightning Lane attraction in a single park for one day, with no return times to book. That covers both Multi Pass attractions and Single Pass headliners like TRON Lightcycle Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Prices are per person, per day, plus tax, and don’t include park admission.

Here’s how the November 23rd prices compare to each park’s previous all-time high:

ParkPrevious HighNew HighIncrease
Magic Kingdom$449$479+$30 (about 7%)
Hollywood Studios$349$369+$20 (about 6%)
EPCOT$249$269+$20 (8%)
Animal Kingdom$199$219+$20 (about 10%)

Magic Kingdom’s old $449 high dates back to the very first Thanksgiving with Premier Pass, when the $449 Magic Kingdom pass sold out on Thanksgiving Day 2024. The other three parks also held their 2024 ceilings until now. Animal Kingdom saw the smallest dollar increase, but its price climbed the most in percentage terms.

On Sunday, November 22nd, all four parks sit exactly at their old records of $449, $349, $249 and $199. One day later, a family of four buying Premier Pass at Magic Kingdom would pay $1,916 before tax. That’s a big number, and one that might get larger groups to start looking at splitting a VIP Tour for more benefits. With advance planning, guests can find some wins with the much cheaper Lightning Lane Multi Pass product as well.

Higher Ceilings Leave Room to Climb

Walt Disney World set the stage for these records in early October. That’s when it announced a $50 increase to Premier Pass prices on its highest-demand days at all four parks. If that increase applies evenly, the new ceilings work out to $499 at Magic Kingdom, $399 at Hollywood Studios, $299 at EPCOT, and $249 at Animal Kingdom.

November 23rd still sits $20 below that ceiling at Magic Kingdom and $30 below it at the other three parks. Premier Pass dates appear in the app about three weeks out, one day at a time. That means Thanksgiving Day itself and the rest of the holiday week don’t have prices yet. Those dates, along with Christmas week, are the most likely candidates to push prices closer to the new ceilings. Demand doesn’t seem to be slowing either, since Magic Kingdom’s Premier Pass isn’t available to buy for November 2nd through 5th in the app.

Guests who want shorter waits on a budget still have cheaper options. On November 23rd, Magic Kingdom’s Multi Pass costs $45, while Single Pass costs $25 for TRON Lightcycle Run and $18 for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Those Single Pass prices match the new all-time highs for Lightning Lane Single Pass that began on November 1st. Even so, all three together cost $88, well under a fifth of the Premier Pass price for the same day.
