The 2022 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is underway, and as part of our coverage, we’re going to review the Outdoor Kitchens (food booths). Here’s our EPCOT Farmers Feast Outdoor Kitchen Review.
EPCOT Farmers Feast is a returning Outdoor Kitchen and is located in World Discovery Near Creations Shop. The EPCOT Farmers Feast has a seasonally rotating menu, so this is a review of the menu from the start of the Festival through April 9th.
EPCOT Farmer’s Feast Review
Chilled Potato and Leek Soup “Vichyssoise” (NEW) – $5.00
Chilled Potato and Leek Soup “Vichyssoise” with chive oil and crispy leeks (Gluten/ Wheat Friendly)
The keyword here is: chilled. A smart move for a festival that will run deep into the summer months. Of course, this entree is only available through April 9th, but considering we visited on the first day of 2022 that Orlando surpassed 90 degrees, this was a clear winner and loaded with flavor. Perhaps hard to picture is how generous the portion size is here. Easily sharable between 2-3 people as you make your way around the Festival.
Char-grilled Bison Ribe-Eye (NEW) – $8.00
Char-grilled Bison Ribe-Eye with creamy leek fondue, roasted carnival cauliflower, Romanesco and port wine-goat cheese butter (Gluten/ Wheat Friendly)
Another solid offering here only loses a star because we weren’t huge fans of the vegetable choice. The preparation of the vegetables wasn’t the problem – they were prepared wonderfully, it was the choice of which vegetables to include. If they sound good to you, there’s no reason to avoid this dish. The beef was salted nicely, and incredibly soft and flavorful.
Goat Cheese Creamsicle Pop (NEW) – $4.75
Goat Cheese Creamsicle Pop: Goat cheese Crémeux, orange cream, olive oil cake, cranberry sauce, and praline
ANOTHER 5-star item here, the flavors were spot on. It really came together like a shortcake when you mixed some of the cranberry sauce. EPCOT Farmers Feast has put a strong foot forward this year and is a booth worth visiting – at least during this early menu period.
Beverages:
- Collective Arts Raspberry Lemon Verbena Whole Leaf Steeped Sparkling Hard Tea, Hamilton, Ontario – $5/$9 (6oz/12oz)
- Hibiscus Lemonade Cocktail featuring Islamorada Brewery & Distillery Hibiscus Gin – $11
