PHOTOS: A Look at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Construction from Inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios (January 2018)

While most of our looks at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge come from the air, we wanted to provide a ground-level view of what guests can see from within Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Starting in Pixar Place, Disney has recently installed trees on the berm that will be used to hide Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge from guests in the area.

As an aside, if you’re wondering why there are so many guests in this area, we have a writeup on a massive increase in wait times you can expect at Toy Story Mania.

A look back at the view we used to have from the same area.

Moving on to Grand Avenue and what is widely regarded as the main entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

A wider photo.

Here’s a look at the framing taking place for the rock work that will be found near the Millennium Falcon attraction.

Shifting our attention towards what we can see of the First Order Battle Escape attraction.

We can see less and less of the First Order Battle Escape show building from near the MuppetVision 3D exit. A look at the area shows just a sliver of show building over the newly installed gate.

A similar perspective shows a bit more of the show building and a peek inside.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019.
