In addition to the controversial auction scene changes, Disney also modified the mermaid skeleton beach scene during the most recent refurbishment of Pirates of the Caribbean. Removed from the beach is the destroyed rowboat with mermaid skeleton and a treasure chest. It’s a little bit tough to see, but Disney also extended the beach up to the edge of the passing boats to assist with any evacuations.
