The water wheel is working again at the Swiss Family Treehouse after a couple of years of downtime. More specifically, the water wheel pulley-style system is working again, getting water flowing through the attraction. This is the first time that we’ve seen this part of the attraction working since the first half of 2023. We made it out to Magic Kingdom recently to take a closer look at the water wheel system and how it works to really bring water through the attraction, from the first scene through to the finale scene.
Swiss Family Treehouse Water Wheel Working Again
The best way to showcase a kinetic effect is not via still photos (although we’ll have plenty of those), but rather through video. Here’s a walk-through video, starting at the water wheel, tracking the water through the attraction to the kitchen finale, and back into the stream.
And here are some photos of the water wheel and the process of taking the water up to the top of the attraction, and letting gravity take it through the attraction and back down to the stream.
