Work has begun for the Liberty Square Riverboat on the Rivers of America. Divers are in the water this morning working on the track as part of a month-long refurbishment. Not only has the Liberty Square Riverboat itself received a laundry list of upgrades and refurbishments, but the track that it runs on is set to as well. Cast expect a partial damming and draining of the river to accommodate some of the more complex work. Here’s a look at the work taking place this morning.

Downriver, there is a safety barrier that allows boats to continue to service Tom Sawyer Island, uninterrupted.

The Liberty Square Riverboat is scheduled to return from refurbishment in Fall 2018.
