Epcot photo update (2/10/2016)

We spent a few hours in Epcot this afternoon checking out what’s new.

Before we entered the park, it was hard not to notice that the runDisney tents are still up in the Imagine and Explore parking lots.

There’s no such thing as Innoventions West anymore. It’s simply a space for the Disney Visa Meet & Greet and some video games. They’ve even removed the sign.

Innoventions East is still kicking though.

Making our way into Future World, we stopped into the Baymax Meet & Greet. He was pulling a good crowd at around 12:30pm (they wrap around to the left).

Joy and Sadness are rumored to be coming to Epcot this month. Joy, Sadness, and Baymax in the same building would definitely be a crowd draw. Walls near Baymax have changed since we last went in.

With Soarin’ down until Summer, Living with the Land is now a tier one FastPass+ option. We, of course, had no problem securing a FastPass earlier in the day.

Some fresh food options in between the Land and Imagination pavilions.

Continuing our journey of E Ticket rides, we made our way over to the Imagination pavilion to experience the story of Figment.

I wish he would roll turkey legs one of these days.

If you have some time to kill now that Soarin’ is down, wander around the Imagination pavilion. It’s a wonderful spot to take some pictures.

We had worked up an appetite and decided on some Buffalo Bleu Cheese and Sour Cream and Chive gourmet popcorn. Regular popcorn will set you back $4 with the gourmet option being $1 more.

    I actually quite liked both.

It’s amazing the difference a day makes. These pictures were taken just 24 hours apart.

Now for a few random World Showcase photos.

We started in the UK, with the band Quickstep. The four-member group debuted in late November of last year and their authentic songs draw from Scottish, English and Irish traditions.

The Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Meet and Greet in the UK is rumored to be going away this Sunday, February 14th, along with Aurora in the France pavilion and Chip and Dale in Innoventions West.

It’s Black History month in the American Adventure and the Tapestry of America display.

The Voices of Liberty are always great!

Walls are up between Germany and the African Outpost. I’m assuming this is in preparation for the Flower and Garden Festival.

A scrim is covering the Reflections of China building.

There is also some work being done to the facade over Nine Dragons.

Moving over to Norway, we see the Frozen Ever After facade (formerly Maelstrom) is still present. If rumors are to be believed, work is a bit behind schedule and we might see the Meet & Greet open before the ride.

The Meet & Greet facade is coming along nicely. This area is formally known as the Royal Sommerhus.

With nobody climbing up the Mexico pavilion, that will complete our full lap around World Showcase and Epcot! Thanks for reading and please feel free to share if you enjoyed this update.
