We lost an icon on May 31st, 2016 when the margarita kiosk at Epcot’s Mexico pavilion shut down operation. First it sat behind the Disney cloaking devices known as portable shrub walls.

Then it disappeared altogether.

Thousands wept, but not to fear. A permit was filed to prep a new site for a new margarita kiosk. Here’s a look at the site currently sitting behind walls.

The area is, of course, highly guarded with a dedicated pole for a security camera.

The old location still sits behind what can only be described as some of the most well looked after shrub walls we’ve seen in recent years.

Hopefully our long national nightmare will be but a memory and the new kiosk installed promptly.
