Just four months after their grand opening, the Banana Cabana Pool Bar at Caribbean Beach has overhauled their menu. When we originally reviewed the new dining location in October, both Banana Cabana and Sebastian’s Bistro shared the same menu. Of course, the experiences are vastly different, and guests spoke with their wallet by favoring a quick bite at Banana Cabana over a table service experience at Sebastian’s Bistro.

According to Cast, the ratio was tipped in favor of Banana Cabana so much, that Sebastian’s Bistro eventually had to do away with their lunch dining period back in late January. With the removal of the lunch period for Sebastian’s Bistro, Disney was hoping that guests would opt for a table service experience for dinner. While that has helped the attendance at Sebastian’s Bistro a little bit, guests still favored Banana Cabana.

We also just passed a three month probationary period at the new dining locations. Generally speaking, the first few months of operation are largely decided upon ahead of time, with sweeping changes allowed to take place after the three months have elapsed.

That brings us to today, and the news of a new menu at Banana Cabana. We’re told that guest feedback led to a complete overhaul of the menu. It shifted from a completely themed menu to one that infuses more of what you’d expect to find at a pool bar, like loaded fries, a burger, and sandwiches. Thankfully, there are still some Caribbean favorites to be found as well.

It’s worth noting that Banana Cabana and Sebastian’s Bistro no longer share a menu. Each dining location will have their own separate menu and items can’t be ordered between one or the other.
