There is some new development work in the former Liberty Square Market seating area. While it’s tough to say what, exactly, is going in this spot, we can see various sizes of conduit, and what appears to be a porous base of sorts.
Here’s a look at the impact that the construction is having on the nearby pathway that connects Liberty Square to the Haunted Mansion. This area was not only previously used for seating, but also Haunted Mansion stroller parking. During construction, strollers are placed against the walls, effectively shrinking the already narrow pathway.
Liberty Square Market remains open to guests during the construction and is outside of the walls.
Keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to cover this, and many more projects from around the Disney Parks.
Is this project going to impact the Columbia Harbor House and Liberty Tree Tavern?
Interesting: those look like soil cells that would surround a new, large tree planted in the center, possibly conduits for lights, drainage, aeration, etc. We’ll see!
