Latest Look at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure France Pavilion Expansion Project at Epcot (October 2019)

With the Disney Skyliner back up and running, we once again can get a wonderful vantage point of the construction taking place behind the current France pavilion at Epcot.

The project is twofold. First, the expansion will bring with it a trackless ride called Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Based off of the ride in the Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will shrink guests down to the size of a rat as they make their way through a kitchen with Remy and friends. There really isn’t a lot to see here, but we’ll take a look at the concept art to understand the positioning and framing of the attraction as it sits in the greater France pavilion expansion. We’ve highlighted the attraction building in what will be the back of the pavilion, ultimately a dead end.

Here’s a similar angle from the Disney Skyliner gondola system. The attraction facade is completely covered in tarps at the moment, but we should be able to get a better look at it once some of the facade painting is completed.

Here are some more photos of the facade and attraction building.

Also of interest is the authentic crêperie that will be both table service dining as well as a quick-service stop. Here’s a quick description and look at the concept art.

The new crêperie will feature the cuisine of celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse, the mastermind behind the pavilion’s Chefs de France brasserie and its celebration of gourmet cuisine, Monsieur Paul. With a menu inspired by the Brittany region of France, the new location will offer table service dining as well as a quick-service stop for guests craving savory crepes called galettes and sweet crepes.

Here’s a look at the latest progress.

It can also be seen on the right side of the overview photo.

Finally, here’s a look at the only walkway in and out of the area. As you can see, it will run along the right side of the pavilion, along the canal that the Friendships use for transportation.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is set to open in Summer 2020.

    1. Pretty sure the Eiffel Tower will be moved to keep the distance effect from every part of France pavilion.
The concept art seems to confirm it.
