The new MagicBand slap bracelets have debuted at Walt Disney World! We first reported on the new merchandise pieces a week ago, and they have since materialized at the Parks. The designs that have been released feature the Orange Bird, Olaf – Frozen 2, Stitch, and Mickey Mouse with friends. Each slap bracelet retails for $24.99. Let’s take a look at the designs!
Orange Bird
Stitch
The MagicBand slap bracelet features a slider that holds the puck in place. Thanks to the icon slider, you can decide where you would like the puck to sit on your wrist for optimal comfort. They are also interchangeable allowing you to remove the slider and use it on another slap bracelet!

Review
The main differences between the MagicBand 2.0 and the slap bracelet are the puck and how it’s fastened. On the MagicBand 2.0, the puck is integrated into the band making it seamless and flat. On the new MagicBand slap bracelets, it sits above the band making it more susceptible to hitting objects and snagging.
Fit
This is where we run into a problem. It seems that it will not wrap around a men’s wrist as easily as a women’s or child’s wrist. As you can see below, the MagicBand slap bracelet barely overlaps Mike’s wrist. On my wrist, it overlaps without a problem. Having the overlap, the slap bracelet felt very secure.
Shape
When comparing the MagicBand 2.0 to the MagicBand slap bracelet, the packaging can be a bit deceiving. The MagicBand 2.0 packaging only shows enough of the MagicBand to showcase the artwork which represents a child’s size. In reality, the MagicBand continues in the packaging for a proper adult fit. As you can see in the comparison photo below, the MagicBand slap bracelet length is somewhere between a child’s size and an adult’s size. The shape of the puck itself is the same as the MagicBand 2.0. It pops out of the slider as seen below and can be used in a MagicBand, a MagicKeeper, or another slider.
Our Thoughts
Overall, the MagicBand Slap Bracelet is a fun idea. With a box of regular slap bracelets at seemingly every register, Disney must have seen enough of the regular slap bracelets moving off of the shelves to justify a MagicBand Slap Bracelet. I don’t see very many men purchasing a slap bracelet anyway, so maybe the fit issue that we saw above will be negligible. For what it is, the MagicBand Slap Bracelet is a wonderful addition to the growing library of MagicBand products, and it’s easily customizable and fun enough to make it worthy of the shelf space it consumes.
