Primeval Whirl Ending Seasonal Operation This Week at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

According to the Walt Disney World calendars, Primeval Whirl will end operations this week and reenter closed, seasonal status at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The coaster is scheduled to have its last day of operation on January 4th, closing on January 5th. As of publish time, Disney hasn’t extended hours past the 4th.

The wild mouse roller coaster has seen decent crowds over the busy holiday season, typically averaging around 30 minutes throughout the day, with busy peak times approaching an hour.

Seasonal status typically isn’t a great sign for the longevity of the attraction. Another ride that is listed as seasonal on the Walt Disney World calendar is Stitch’s Great Escape, which we know is likely gutted inside.
