2020 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Start Date Will Be Earlier Than Ever This Year

As we continue to keep a close eye on Magic Kingdom park hours, dates through the end of August seem to indicate that the 2020 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party start date will be earlier than ever this year. While many in the fan community lament about the mid-August every year, the party continues to get closer to the start of the month.

This year, for the first time ever, the party will start within the first two weeks of August. According to the internal Magic Kingdom calendar, we will see our first 6pm park close time on August 13th. The 6pm park close time is a great indicator of a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party night.

The August 13th start date puts the party closer to the start of August than the end of August for the first time this year too.

Other August dates with a 6pm close (and, by extension, a Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party), are as follows:

  • August 13
  • August 15
  • August 18
  • August 21
  • August 25
  • August 28

As of right now, Disney has not officially announced dates for the party, but if the hours don’t change between now and August, we very well could be seeing the earliest start date for the Halloween Party ever.

  1. Interesting! Wasn’t expecting the first party on a Thursday. Looking at your crystal ball (I.E. internal calendar)do you know what other dates after the 13th also have early closures?

  2. Where are you viewing August park hours? I only see to July 2020. Also, wouldn’t MNSSHP not start on 8/14? That is a Friday night. Thanks

  3. This is plain and simple Greed. Whats next Extending Mickeys Xmas party until Feburary. How about coming up with A night time parade 1st.

  4. Any thoughts on when the official announcement will go live? Wasn’t it January 15 last year? How could they possibly do it any later this year?

  5. I will be coming August 24-31. I can’t see past July’s calendar and I am dying to see the park hours and magic hours for that week for the 4 parks so I can plan. Can you help?? Please 🙂

    • Hi Eva, we’re not sure when Disney will start selling tickets, but we can check in on September dates. We’ll update this post if we’re able to find anything out

  6. And when will the other dates be announced until the end of the Mickey’s not so scary event? Does anyone know the final date of the event this year?
