Disney Stops Offering Free Dining Recovery Deal Three Weeks Early

After yesterday’s flurry of news about adjusted deals and bookable dates, Disney has quietly stopped offering the Free Dining Recovery Deal that was previously offered to guests who have had their Disney vacations impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic theme park and resort closures.

As a reminder, the vacation package offer included accommodations at a select Disney Resort hotel, park admission and a Disney dining plan – valid for arrivals most nights June 1 through September 30, 2020 when you book through May 31, 2020.

As you can see, the original wording said that the deal would be available until the end of May, but Disney has discontinued it over 3 weeks early. As of yesterday, the deal was no longer offered and the Walt Disney World website has been updated to remove references to it.

    1. I had a trip booked for my family & I for April 2020. Because I booked thru a military travel agent I couldn’t make any changes myself. So I had agency call and change my vacation to August 9-13th. I did this months ago, NO cheaper rates offered due to going from prime travel to off season in August. NO offer of meal plan OR free passes to the park!!! And I’m a retired 100% disabled military veteran. Why didn’t Anybody from Disney contact me???? I now may have to change dates again if they aren’t opened by August. I need to know what to do with airfare that is paid for. Southwest allowed me to change once at no charge but will they let me change it AGAIN??? Please HELP!!!!

    2. You are not the only person with problems. How about trying politeness and kindness instead of moaning and groaning.

    3. I can see your reason for moaning as the person below has so disrespectfully put. As a veteran and someone who had to change your plans, you should have received the same deal as many others did. It is a shame you were not offered it.
