In a press conference today, it was announced that New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have implemented a joint travel advisory that requires people traveling from states with surging COVID-19 numbers to self-quarantine when they return.

This is an inverse of the Tri-State travel restrictions that are set to expire soon for visitors from the area into Florida. While we’re obviously a Disney Parks-focused website, the order also applies to the following states in addition to Florida: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington, Texas, Utah.

The joint travel advisory will go into effect tonight at midnight and will require people traveling from Florida and the states listed above to self-quarantine for 14-days after they return. While this travel advisory might not affect your trip to Disney World if you’re from those states, it will effect your trip back to New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

This travel restriction comes as numbers are surging in Florida, and a positivity rate that exceeds the 7-day rolling 10% limit set by the joint travel advisory.
