Beach Club Resort and BoardWalk Reopening Delayed Indefinitely, Polynesian and Art of Animation Reopening Pushed Back

Disney has just announced an update to their planned reopening dates for several hotels. Here’s a look at the planned reopening timeline through November 1st:

    • July 29: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
    • Aug. 24: Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
    • Sept. 21: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
    • Oct. 4:  Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (delayed from August 12)
    • Oct. 14: Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
    • Nov. 1: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (delayed from August 12)

Also of note is that Disney has removed previously announced reopening dates for Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. Those hotels will remain closed until further notice while Disney reevaluates the reopening timeline.

    1. Any idea what happens if we booked one of these hotels as a result of the annual passholder discounts that were recently issued, but now the opening date has changed? We were supposed to be at the Beach Club Resort in the first week of September, and have not received any communication from Disney about a change to that. We only booked it in the first place because of the deals THEY put out two weeks ago…

    2. What happened to us is they downgrade you to cheaper resort. We had Carribean Beach and they downgraded us to Pop Century. God forbid they upgrade people for the inconvenience…

    3. The DVC website says that all DVC resorts are open except Grand Californian and Aulani. This page reports that Boardwalk Inn and Beach Club are closed. Does that mean the DVC portions of BW and BC are open but the inn rooms are closed? Confusing!
