Work appears to be slowly moving forward for the France Pavilion expansion at EPCOT. As a reminder, Disney is expanding the France Pavilion to accommodate the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction. The expansion, which can be seen in the concept art below, will wrap around to the side of the existing guest-accessible areas and wrap around to the back of the pavilion where the attraction and new table-service restaurant will be. While riding the Disney Skyliner last night, we noticed that a small detail has been added to the construction site – street signs for the two avenues that guests will walk along to get back to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to grab a wider-angle photo of the area in the dying light, but here’s a look at the intersection of the two walkways – with the entrance to the expansion to the left, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure on the right. The street signs were installed on the yellow-ish building in the middle of the photo below.
Going back to the street signs, we notice a fun nod to the owner of Gusteau’s restaurant – Auguste Gusteau.
As you might remember, he’s featured on the sign above the attraction!
The other road roughly translates to a road of shops, or merchants. This might be a nod to the yet-to-be-installed merchandise kiosk that we first told you about late last month.
While we’re still floating above the site, here’s a look at the attraction entrance.
Since we last dropped by, the sign on the left is new and will likely contain information about the ride as is typical at most attractions.
Here’s a wider shot of the Allee des Merchands as it passes by Le Creperie de Paris – the table service restaurant. Disney has recently worked on laying the bricks in the road as they slowly make their way to an unannounced opening date.
