A glitch in the Disney World website on November 3rd errantly opened up more reservation times than were actually available in the restaurant inventory. While we didn’t know it at the time, this glitch indicated that Disney World would be increasing the capacity in their restaurants as allowed by state law. As it turns out, the additional inventory was simply part of a glitch as a result of a failed system update.
Now, according to a Disney spokesperson (via Disney Food Blog), Disney will be automatically canceling those reservations that are “overbooked” and offer a $25 digital Disney Gift Card instead.
