Well, it’s been a rough day for Disney World IT. From Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group glitches that didn’t properly validate guests’ Disney Park Pass reservations to a flood of new dining reservations that seemingly signaled an increase in restaurant capacity.
As of publish time, the Disney World dining reservation site is back online after being down most of the day. Here’s an error screen that guests were presented with earlier today.
According to BlogMickey.com sources, Disney World attempted to make an update to the dining reservation backend that caused the outage earlier today. This came after we wrote about a flood of dining reservation availability through the end of 2020.
There appears to be less availability now, but it remains unclear on whether that’s because guests snagged up the inventory before the website crashed, or if Disney accidentally released too much inventory.
That said, if you were looking to make a dining reservation and saw the error screen earlier today, we’re told that the glitches have been worked through and the site should be available for all!
