Well, reservations were supposed to open this morning for the all-new The Beak and Barrel Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar at Magic Kingdom, but the seas had other plans. Shortly before 6am, the Walt Disney World dining reservation system crashed. This was likely directly related to the planned opening of Beak and Barrel reservations this morning. That said, the system outage is affecting everyone right now – not just guests trying to secure a spot at the new Pirates bar.
UPDATE (1:00pm) | Walt Disney World has announced that reservations for The Beak & Barrel will not open today.

Disney Dining Reservation Site Crashes
We started to notice error messages around 5:50am. Disney typically opens up new dining locations around 6am, and widespread dining reservations open around 7am. As of publish time, the Walt Disney World dining reservation system has not recovered, and Disney has placed the website into maintenance mode.
The My Disney Experience app appears to be slowly coming back to life, but the website remains down.
We have not seen any reports of guests successfully booking a Beak and Barrel reservation.
At this time, Walt Disney World has not made any statement or notified guests that they are working on a solution. Disney recently had issues with the rollout of another dining reservation recently and they had to delay the opening of the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival breakfast buffet by a day.

The site is back up, but reservations haven’t been loaded into the system as of 10:25am
