Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is packed with blink-and-you’ll-miss-it details, and Disney has officially pulled back the curtain on dozens of Easter eggs hidden throughout the G-Force Records building, the alley queue, and the ride itself. Whether you’re a casual fan or a dedicated Muppet nerd, there’s something in here for everyone. And this is just the start!

Easter Eggs Hidden in Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

  • Easter eggs in the G-Force Records gallery case room
  • Hidden details in the alley queue
  • What’s inside the Muppet Labs Parking Garage
  • Easter eggs to spot on the Hollywood 101 Freeway
  • Backstage concert area details

The first room guests enter is a gallery case lovingly curated by Yolanda the Rat, and it’s loaded with Muppets history.

  • Miss Piggy is celebrated with one of her iconic looks, a pink and green polka dot dress and matching hat.
  • Kermit’s original banjo from “The Rainbow Connection” was recently donated to the Walt Disney Archives. Imagineers recreated it for display since the original is now safely tucked away.
  • Floyd and Janice’s guitars on display are original instruments from The Muppet Show.

The Alley Queue

The alley is where the Easter egg density really picks up. Several props were transported directly from Muppet*Vision 3D, including shipping crates from the building and Statler and Waldorf’s balcony theater chairs.

Gonzo gets his own corner of the alley with a nod to “Gonzo’s Stunt School โ€“ Hollywood,” complete with “The Great Gonzo” banner from the pre-show and his stunt airplane. His Muppet*Vision cannon, the one penguins once used to aim at the Swedish Chef, is also on hand.

Pizza fans will spot boxes from PizzeRizzo nearby, and the Mona Lisa from Mama Melrose has made its way into the alley as well.

The Squeakeasy bar features an establishment date of 1936, the same year Jim Henson was born. Nearby fliers hint that Bean Bunny has gone missing, and laundry strung up on the fire escape includes Fozzie’s bowtie, a PizzeRizzo apron, and an Electric Mayhem tour shirt.

One of the biggest Easter eggs in the alley is a “Pop Off” billboard. Fozzie once hid his Studebaker behind a similar billboard in The Muppet Movie.

Muppet Labs Parking Garage

Bunsen and Beaker’s automotive division has been hard at work. The Interpol Car from Muppets Most Wanted is parked in the garage, along with the fan-favorite Muppet Mobile Labs vehicle, previously spotted at EPCOT, Disney California Adventure, and Hong Kong Disneyland.

On the Hollywood 101 Freeway

Once you’re on the ride, keep your eyes open between screams.

  • World Wide Studios, the fictional movie studio from The Muppet Movie, appears alongside the freeway.
  • The PizzeRizzo sign shows up again, this time alongside the 101.
  • A “Waldo crossing” sign is a nod to Waldo, the Spirit of 3D from Muppet*Vision.
  • And yes, there is an “Obligatory Easter Egg” sign. Classic Muppets.

Backstage at the Concert

As the ride comes to a close, Statler and Waldorf are there to greet you with their signature lack of enthusiasm. These are the same audio-animatronic figures from Muppet*Vision 3D. Also carried over from the pre-show is Jim Henson’s portrait, painted as a Muppet, now hanging over the exit end of the ride.

OUR TAKE: It wouldn’t be a Muppets attraction if there weren’t Easter Eggs, callbacks, and gags, so we’re happy to see that the attraction is loaded with fun details. While this list from Disney is a good start, it’s just that: a start. We’re going to get a chance to ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets very soon, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for even more Easter Eggs beyond what Disney has shared!
