  • Virtual Queue is now visible in the My Disney Experience app ahead of May 26th
  • Two daily joining windows: 7:00am and 10:00am
  • VQ covers the full Rafiki’s Planet Watch experience, including the Wildlife Express Train
  • No standby queue at launch; one will be added at a later date
  • The experience continues beyond Cool Kids’ Summer

Virtual Queue Now Visible in My Disney Experience App

Ahead of the May 26th opening of Bluey’s Wild World, the Virtual Queue for the experience has appeared in the My Disney Experience app. The VQ isn’t active yet, but its presence in the app confirms the system will be in place from day one when Bluey and Bingo make their Animal Kingdom debut.

Two Daily Joining Windows

When the Virtual Queue goes live on May 26th, guests will have two opportunities each day to join:

  • 7:00am โ€” Valid park admission and an Animal Kingdom park reservation (where applicable) are required. Guests do not need to be inside the park yet to join.
  • 10:00am โ€” Valid park admission is required, and guests must be inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom to join.

The 7:00 AM window is the more guest-friendly of the two, giving families a chance to secure a spot before even setting foot in the park. That said, given the immense popularity Bluey generated at Disneyland, both windows will likely fill quickly. We also expect that guests will find a lengthy wait for the Wildlife Express train when they return to redeem their Virtual Queue.

What the Virtual Queue Covers

The Virtual Queue isn’t just for the dance party experience itself. It covers the full Rafiki’s Planet Watch package, including the Wildlife Express Train, Bluey’s Wild World, Jumping Junction, and the Animal Care experiences at Conservation Station.

Worth noting: when the Virtual Queue is active, guests will need to join it to board the Wildlife Express Train at all. There’s no bypassing the VQ to get to Conservation Station on your own.

No Standby Queue at Launch

A standby queue will not be available when Bluey’s Wild World opens. Disney has indicated one will be added at a later date, but for now, the Virtual Queue is the only path in. We’ll continue to watch and report on the status of the Virtual Queue, but for now, plan on using the Virtual Queue system for the opening days, and likely, weeks.

Bluey & Bingo Sticking Around Past Summer

The launch of Bluey’s Wild World is part of Cool Kids’ Summer, but the experience is not limited to the seasonal event. Disney has confirmed it will continue beyond the conclusion of Cool Kids’ Summer, so guests who can’t make it this summer will have additional opportunities down the road.

We’ll continue to monitor the Virtual Queue situation as May 26th approaches and will have more as the experience gets underway. Keep checking back.

OUR TAKE: The second that Disney announced that Bluey and Bingo would be taking over Conservation Station, there was no other option than to implement a Virtual Queue to access the remote corner of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. While Virtual Queues have traditionally been unpopular with Disney fans for attractions, using a Virtual Queue for Bluey is absolutely the right call. If there wasn’t a Virtual Queue in place, the line would snake through Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Conservation Station would be overwhelmed, and the experience would be madness.

What I’ll be interested in tracking is how quickly Disney moves to a standby-only line. Right now, my understanding is that the Virtual Queue will be in place for a few weeks and then be reevaluated. Disney has not announced any timeframe for the end of the Virtual Queue beyond confirming that the plan is to open standby eventually.
