In this morning’s IAAPA virtual conference, Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro covered a wide range of topics, essentially giving an update on how the theme parks have faired over the past year.
One of the topics D’Amaro briefly touched on was the announcement that over 700 equity Cast Members were laid off. The layoffs were sweeping and devastating, essentially closing indefinitely every show and entertainment act that wasn’t recalled already. Of course, that led many Disney fans to wonder if their favorite show would return.
On the virtual conference, D’Amaro said that Disney plans on bringing back entertainment that they recently had to discontinue indefinitely. Unfortunately, D’Amaro didn’t give any further details, let alone a timeline for the return of entertainment.
