Mickey Wrapped for Protection, Flags Removed, New Colors Painted Onto Disney World Archways for 50th Anniversary

While driving onto property, we noticed even more work has taken place at the Western Way archway entrance to Walt Disney World.

First, here’s a look at the concept art.

Here’s a look at the latest work taking place, including the removal of the flags atop the marquee in preparation for the reimagining.

It looks like Disney has even applied some of the new, darker blue paint near Mickey.
