In this morning’s IAAPA virtual conference, Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro confirmed what has become increasingly obvious – Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will miss a 2020 opening timeframe and instead open in 2021. D’Amaro did not give an exact opening date though.
Construction has slowed considerably on the site, and a sense of urgency that we saw before the parks closed simply wasn’t there upon reopening in July. Disney clearly was aiming for an elongated timeline, perhaps to even introduce a new ride once crowds and travel has returned. It remains to be seen when, exactly, Disney will open the attraction, but rumors point to Spring 2021.
