UPDATE: An earlier version of this story said that Lotus Blossom Cafe would be closed beginning January 11, 2021. Hours for the location have been updated to reflect that it will not be closing, but will return to weekend-only operation.

According to Walt Disney World, Lotus Blossom Cafe is scheduled to return to weekend-only operation on January 11, 2021.

The quick service location, which reopened on October 23rd after the COVID-19 shutdown, moved from initially operating on weekends only to recently operating every day of the week. It would appear that the location opens as attendance demands, but attendance typically drops off in the new year after a holiday surge. It’s possible that Disney anticipates attendance to dip enough to make it tough to justify staffing the location every day of the week come mid-January.
