After more than a year of being barred from visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Cast Members are once again allowed to visit. According to the online Cast Member blockout calendar, Cast Members will be allowed to visit using their self-admission (blue ID) pass on the following dates:
- January 19-21
- January 26-28
Hollywood Studios remains blocked out for the Main Entrance Pass, which is the friends and family pass for Cast Members. That means Cast Members will only be able to get into Hollywood Studios by themselves.
So, what does this move mean to the average guest? Disney has been blocking out Cast Member access to Disney’s Hollywood Studios due to overwhelming guest demand for the theme park. As of publish time, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is not at capacity for any ticket types on the dates above, perhaps indicating a softer attendance turnout than the park has seen in recent weeks and months.
Prior to the introduction of the Disney Park Pass reservation calendar, the Cast Member blockout calendar almost served as a canary in the coal mine for expected attendance trends at the Walt Disney World theme parks.
