M&M’s Store Now Open at Disney Springs, FULL Overview

The M&M’s Store is now open at Disney Springs! The store is branded as an experiential retail store, and it delivers! There are really three main experiences that guests will be interested – design your own M&M, mix and match bags, and the M&M’s mirror (coming soon). Here’s photo and video tour of the space, followed by a breakdown of the two experiences available on opening day.

The M&M’s Store not only has candy, but a variety of merchandise!

Of course, the M&M’s Store opened with social distancing protocols in place such as stickers on the ground and limited capacity managed by employees at the door.

    Design Your Own M&M’s

Guests are able to design their own M&M’s via customizable text, pre-made icons, or even uploading a photo! There is a photo booth that will be available to guests once face mask requirements aren’t in place.

Guests start at a kiosk that walks them through the process of creating their own M&M design. Guests are able to create multiple designs and prices range from $20 to $45, depending on which packaging option you choose.

Some of the pre-made icons include Disney designs!

We opted to upload the BlogMickey logo, and it came out pretty good! We’ve found that the photo option works best when the subject is darker than the background. The kiosk will advise you of the same when choosing a photo. While we chose our logo, guests are able to choose any photo on their camera roll via the web-based upload form that guests access via a QR code scan on their phone.

From the scan, you’ll choose what color you’d like and the M&M’s will be printed right in front of you!

The “upload your own photo” feature probably leaves some to be desired. Text or the pre-made icons seem to work better and are definitely designed to give you a better outcome than a random image such as a blog logo. Either way, it was a fun experience and something that we could definitely see being a big draw for guests on their vacation or anyone who might have a celebration coming up.

    Mix and Match Bags

Perhaps the showstopping section of the store is a massive, wrap-around wall of tubes of M&M’s that you can mix-and-match while filling a bag or souvenir cup. The wall contains 107 tubes of over 9,000lbs of M&M’s!

The price is either $15.98 per pound in a clear bag (that can hold nearly 2lbs of M&M’s), or various set prices based on the souvenir cup size.

The choices and combos are seemingly endless, even with a peanut or milk chocolate filling option.

Of course, we might be biased towards two color schemes.

    M&M’s Mirror

The M&M’s Mirror is labeled as “coming soon”, but we’re told it might be some time before guests are able to experience the mirror. Employees told us that the mirror doesn’t work with face coverings, and with Disney coming out and saying that face coverings will even be required by guests who get the COVID-19 vaccine, there really isn’t a timeline for this experience to open. We’re told that the M&M’s Mirror experience will allow guests to create custom emojis when it is operational.

According to the M&M’s website, the Disney Springs M&M’s Store will have the same hours as Disney Springs itself.
