The Mad Tea Party has reopened as scheduled after what appears to be a simply mechanical refurbishment. There is no new paint or additions from what we’re able to see.
While the attraction opened on the day that Disney scheduled it to reopen, it stumbled out of the gates this morning as maintenance worked through problems. At one point, the attraction was emergency stopped and guests were asked to exit their teacups after concerning noises were heard at the attraction. Eventually, maintenance identified a single teacup and took it out of commission. Guests were then loaded back onto the attraction before maintenance stepping in again and taking a second teacup out of commission. Since the second teacup was covered, the attraction has been operating normally and welcoming guests once again. Here are some photos from this morning and the first “successful” run after the two teacups were covered up.
