Main Street Cinema to Become Temporary Sweets Shop at Magic Kingdom

According to BlogMickey.com sources, the Main Street Cinema will soon undergo a transformation into a sweets shop while the Main Street Confectionery is under a lengthy refurbishment.

The cinema will likely retain its theming, but will not sell art pieces at the location during its stint as a sweets shop. We’ll have more on where you’ll be able to find those art pieces in a bit.

As for now, the Main Street Cinema is scheduled to close on March 22-28, reopening as a sweets shop on March 29th – the same day that the Main Street Confectionery will close for refurbishment. Guests will likely be able to find pre-packaged sweets in the new location, but we’re told there won’t be “fresh” creations.
