Disney has begun to repaint a single roof in Fantasyland ahead of the 50th Anniversary celebrations set to kick off in October. As you can see in the photos below, Disney is painting the rooftop of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique location behind Cinderella Castle.

You can see the darker blue that matches the recently repainted Cinderella Castle turrets on the right half of the rooftop and the older color on the left.

Some have reported that repainting is taking place in other locations in Fantasyland to bring this royal blue to other rooftops, but that’s not true. The single turret behind Sir Mickey’s is the same color it has been since the parks reopened in July 2020 and matches the other turret colors on the “perimeter wall” that can be found at various points throughout Fantasyland. It’s actually not a part of the Sir Mickey’s rooftop at all.

In the photo above, you can actually see that it is the same color as the turrets on the walls found near Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in the photo below.

We can actually go back to the July 2020 photo below and see the dark blue turret sticking out like a sore thumb to the left of Cinderella Castle.

Now, that’s not to say that Disney won’t expand the royal blue to other rooftops – just that they haven’t begun to expand just yet.
