Severe Weather Watch Issued for Disney World Area Today (High Winds, Hail, Tornado)

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Central Florida and Walt Disney World area effective until 4pm EST today, April 11th. The forecast calls for high winds up to 75mph gusts, hail 1-2 inches in diameter, frequent lightning, very heavy rainfall, and a possibility of a tornado or two.

Walt Disney World has not announced any modifications to their operations, but outdoor attractions and entertainment will be suspended if there is lighting or severe weather in the area.
