The Hall of Presidents has reopened at Walt Disney World and while President Joe Biden takes the lead role as sitting President, it looks like Disney may have taken some time to rework the face of the Donald Trump animatronic during the 6-month closure.
Before we look at what we think is a new version of the Donald Trump face, here’s a look back at the Donald Trump audio-animatronic that was used from 2017 until early 2021.
That audio-animatronic clearly didn’t represent Disney’s best work, and it appears that they have at least acknowledged that amongst themselves.
Here’s a look at the Donald Trump animatronic following the Hall of Presidents reopening in August 2021.
Of course, it’s entirely possible that it is somehow the same face and Disney didn’t make any improvements. It could just be that the face sculpt that they used before didn’t fit the robotics well, or it wasn’t well designed to move. The vast majority of previous Presidents do not speak during the show, Trump included, so we will never have a perfect comparison. What do you think? Did Disney fix the Donald Trump animatronic?
