Disney CEO Bob Chapek has made a statement via the D23 podcast about his absence from this year’s Destination D23 event at Walt Disney World. Here’s what he had to say:
I’m sorry, I had every intention of trying to make it this year, as you know I’ve made the last several. I really love that event. Unfortunately, this year given the new job and given the tugs I get from several different areas it’s impossible for me to make it but I will be there in spirit.
Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products is still scheduled to attend.
As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
Going forward I and many, many others would prefer to see Mr. Chapek visit the unemployment line. In 30 years of visiting WDW, I’ve never witnessed such a money grab and the destruction of Walt’s dreams. Please remember there are millions of middle income children that will miss the life changing vacations they will never get to witness.
That’s your statement? A ceo of a multi billion dollar corporation and that’s what you come up with? Still no explanation or reason why you can not fly to the east coast. Sir you boggle my mind every day with your antics and jokes.
